Funebre Devastation emerged in early 2018 from the ashes of Neverendinghate, forged with the intent to merge the visceral extremity of early Death Metal with the darkness of Black Metal and the ferocity of War Metal, while channeling the savage spirit of 80s old-school Thrash. That same year, the band recorded their debut album Rebirth of the Cursed Spectre, released in 2019 by the Polish label LSS.
Live activity began in 2019 but was soon halted by the 2020 pandemic. During that forced break, new material took shape, leading to the recording of their second full-length, Vehement Doomination, released in 2022 by Portugal’s Doomed Records. This marked a new era of relentless live performances across Spain and Portugal, cementing their reputation as a fierce live act.
In 2023, guitarist Valandro joined the ranks, adding new energy to the band’s sound. However, after a year, creative differences led to his departure in 2024. Despite this, Funebre Devastation kept their destructive momentum alive, continuing to devastate stages across Spain.
In early 2025, the band entered the studio once more to record their MCD Allegiance in Torment, released through Morbid Shrine Productions. While promoting this release, the band has simultaneously been working on their third full-length album, expected to see the light by the end of the year or early next.
Funebre Devastation remains a flagbearer of unrelenting darkness — ancient, raw, and merciless.
